Pakistani actor beats the likes of Sidharth Malhotra, Ranbir Kapoor to be chosen as the James Bond of Bollywood.

The cast of the new James Bond movie Spectre was announced recently and fans were blown away to see the likes of Andrew Scott, Christoph Waltz, Dave Bautista, and Monica Belluci star alongside Daniel Craig in the 24th Bond movie. The James Bond saga has been a massive hit in Hollywood through the years. A genre like Bond hasn’t been aped to the T in Bollywood, but if an actor had to play Bond, who would do justice to the role, is the burning question.

According to a poll conducted recently by bollywoodlife.com, asking fans and Bollywood buffs to vote for an actor, who they thought could be the James Bond of Bollywood - the options being Fawad Khan, Sidharth Malhotra, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Ranbir Kapoor, the winner was Khan.

The Khoobsurat actor made a sweeping victory with a whopping 50 per cent vote in his kitty. No surprises there, as the hunk certainly has what it takes to be a Bond. Khan, handsome, debonair and talented is one of the best actors from Pakistan’s tele-serials, and is now taking over Bollywood. His rise to fame was his meticulous performances in dramas like Humsafar, Dastaan, Ashk and Zindagi Gulzar Hai. He also played the character Sarmad in the popular Pakistani movie Khuda Kay Liye.

Next came in Sidharth Malhotra who was backed up by 37 per cent of the votes. This Bollywood heartthrob is a force to reckon with. His latest film, Ek Villain, is racing towards the Rs 100 million club. It’s not been easy for an outsider to inch his way into Bollywood’s inside circle. But when Salman Khan turned up at his doorstep to toast the film’s success and gift him his watch, it proved that Sidharth had managed that feat. The Delhi boy admits that he can now go to bed without worrying that this alien world he entered four years ago as an assistant director to Tarun Mansukhani on Dostana, will be his one day, reported Times of India.

Arjun Kapoor received a mere 5 percent votes followed by Varun Dhawan who garnered the same per cent in the Bond race. The last one on the list was Ranbir Kapoor with a mere 2 per cent votes to back him up. Well looks like it’s Fawad all the way.
