Some of New York’s best-dressed celebs stepped out to celebrate their love for shoes at the 2014 Fashion Footwear Association Awards held at the IAC Building, New York City. The night was brimming with dozens of stars, each one bringing their best foot forward. Primped skirts, fitted body-con dresses and chunky accessories were a governing trend. When all’s said and done, the red carpet was blazing with some iconic, inimitable style.

Sarah Jessica Parker

The Sex and the city diva wore a bewitching black Delphine Manivet Fall 2014 Couture dress merged with sheer and velvet panels, with a voluminous skirt adding a dainty playful touch to the ensemble. The stylish black dress that featured mesh bands forming lighter-coloured stripes was a pure treat for the eyes. Wearing an exquisite pair of nude-pink T-strap heels from her own range, Sarah was definitely celebrating the premise of the night. She paired her stilettos with Vita Fede’s Cristiana pearl bracelets. Hair set loose and her look accessorised with rings and statement bangles, Sarah was equipped for a night of fashion-forward fun.

Nicole Richie

We haven’t been too excited about the recent flurry of looks from Nicole, but this Vera Wang Spring 2015 number is most certainly a stride forward in the right course. Donning a dark yet romantic look, Nicole was raring to make a fashion statement. The dress featured a navy floral and dot-print silk gauze camisole apron slip with a brown pleated tulle petticoat comprised of floral print that infused vivacity into the look while the skinny belt added an enigmatic appeal. She styled her floor-length dress with a green lacquered Rodo clutch and preserved a completely sans accessories facade. With her hair tied up in a messy bun, and nominal makeup, the star showcased a luminous complexion.

Brooke Burke

The timeless model and Dancing With The Stars presenter arrived wearing a fun outfit consisting of a black full-sleeves top accessorised with an oversized bow at the neck and a yellow skirt. Profoundly pleated, the skirt featured an embossed brocade design and did she rock it en vogue. The TV star covered her legs with patterned black tights disappearing into black boots at mid-calf. When styled with chunky rings, and a blitzy silver Alexander McQueen clutch, Mrs David Charvet was a force to reckon with. The bold lip, dewy make-up and short retro waves exhibited her outfit to its full potential.

Misty Copeland

The professional ballerina and model wore a simple, but chic knee-length black slip-dress, with net detailing on the neck. The cut-out patterns at the upper waist of the sleeveless number helped the starlet flaunt her slender waist. Although she’s known for being one of the most stunning women in the athletic world, she fancied accentuating her features with profound make-up, sporting a serious smoky eye, a bold crimson pout and wearing a golden sheen shimmer on her cheekbones. She styled her silky jet tresses in her signature poker straight fashion and let her dress do all the talking. Pairing black leather Jimmy Choo peep-toe pumps with a statement gold bangle, she surely gave off a classy air.
