Moin Khan sets his sights on the North Pole

Fjällräven Polar is an approximately 300km long winter adventure across the arctic tundra

Pakistani adventurist, adrenaline junkie and nature enthusiast Moin Khan has set his eyes on the North Pole.

Khan is taking part in an online competition to be a part of Fjällräven Polar, an approximately 300km long winter adventure across the arctic tundra in which the participants will steer a dog sled all the way from Signaldalen, Norway, to the forests around Jukkasjärvi, Swedish Lappland.

Fjällräven Polar gives “ordinary” people the chance to discover outdoor life and experience a once in a lifetime adventure – as long as the participants have the right knowledge and equipment.

The participants have been selected by vote via the internet, where they posted applications and have competed by country for places.

So far, Khan is running a tight race with Mongolia's Tseren Enebish, who is currently in first place. However, Khan needs only a last minute push to win the competition since he is just a few votes behind. It would truly be a once in a lifetime opportunity for Khan and for Pakistan to be represented for the first time in such an event at the North Pole.

“This trip will allow me to exemplify an underrepresented country, to challenge myself in unfamiliar territory, and to get out of my comfort zone by trading a bike for a dog sled,” Khan told Fjällräven Polar

Earlier, Khan made international and local headlines with his simple yet effective plan titled ‘A Different Agenda,’ in which he traveled from San Francisco to Lahore on a motorcycle.

You can vote for him here.

Great Job, He is now #1 position, but competition is still very close, we Pakistanis need to build a healthy margin of votes so that Moin Khan can represent Pakistan on the North Pole.
