Thebo said cases will be registered against those who try to forcefully shut down businesses.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Ali Qaim Shah while addressing the press said hurdles won’t be created for PTI provided the protesters remained peaceful.
PTI volunteers have distributed flyers trying to convince shopkeepers and businesses to voluntarily keep their businesses closed on December 12.
11 major intersections to remain blocked in Karachi
According to data available with The Express Tribune, 11 major intersections will be blocked along with more than 30 other major roads and points. These include Hasan Square, Numaish Chowrangi, Nursery, Airport, Sohrab Goth, Native Jetty, Shershah, Kala Pul, National Highway and Five Star Chowrangi.
Small sit-ins will be staged on seven locations, which are Qayyumabad Flyover, Korangi Road, Submarine Chowk, Boat Basin, Tin Hatti, Ziauddin Hospital Chowk and Teen Talwar.
A protest rally is also planned in the NA-250 constituency, which will begin at 5pm from McDonald’s Sea View all the way till Saddar, passing through Gizri, Submarine Chowk, Korangi Road, Boat Basin and Shahrah-e-Faisal. It will culminate at Teen Talwar, Clifton.
PTI chairman Imran Khan is expected to arrive in the city at 12pm. Pillion riding on motorbikes will also remain suspended, while an advisory for schools and colleges to remain closed has been issued by the party.
MQM respects PTI’s right to hold rally in Karachi
Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said on Thursday that staging peaceful protests, rallies and demonstrations is the right of every political and religious party.
He added that MQM respects PTI’s right to hold a peaceful rally in Karachi.
PTI chairman Imran can do all he wants, said the MQM chief, but he urged the PTI chief ask his supporters to remain peaceful.

When Imran Khan lost his battle to oust Nawaz Shareef now he is using mob politics.By telling people we will paralyze your city is a threat of a weak person who cant beat his political opponents.
It would be politically stupid of mqm to 'allow' PTI to hold a protest in Karachi unless PTI has reached an understanding with MQM, evident from its Kara hi jalsa, where Imran Khan controlled his tongue and uttered no venom against Altaf Hussain as he used to do on the past.

I will not leave till I have Nawaz Sharif's resignation in my hand. Thus thundered the Khan of Mianwali, again, and again, ad nauseum. And now he has his tails back among his feet and is pleading for 'muzakrat', left, right and centre. Wasnt he told that he was taking his party and his followers into a blind alley. The spin masters are trying to project government's agreement to 'muzakrat' as a victory while the fact is that he was being offered much more than what he will get now in August.
Any PTI supporter with his head on his shoulder should ask for heads to roll in the party for raising unrealistic demand only to face the humiliation of withdrawing them later. And no this is not a tactical retreat as some may like to comfort or be comforted, it is a strategic blunder. This goes on to confirm something once again: PTI and its leader are not ready to assume the mantle of federal government.

Imran's speech starts with blames on Nawaz Sharif and ends at blames on Nawaz Sharif. Nothing new. He is doing so since many years. He will have to give the answer to Allah for every word he has spoken in this world. He is doing all this mess to get worldly gains. But he has forgotten the real Truth. I appreciate the patience of Nawaz Sharif who has never used dirty language against Imran Khan. Respect for Nawaz Sharif has increased in my heart.

Having made itsellf a laughing stock with its uturns, emtpy threats and retractions, PTI has lost whatever bit of support it had among some of Karachi’s middle class. Meanwhile, the fact remains that it never raised a voice for Karachi and is least interested in the development of Karachi as seen by its failure to raise a voice for Karachi’s suspended local bodies system. Karachi has already cold shouldered several appeals by PTI to come out since August and unless PTI tries to cause chaos similar to what it did in Faisalabad, it would be cold shouldered again tomorrow.
