FAISALABAD: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad’s (UAF’s) Institute of Horticultural Sciences is organising a three-day flower exhibition that will begin on Thursday (today). Vice Chancellor Iqrar Ahmed Khan will inaugurate the event. The initiative will enable students from the university and other educational institutes to display their landscaping abilities and flower arrangements. The event is being organised to spread the message of peace through the striking colours of flowers. The exhibition will conclude on December 13 (Friday). Separately, a five-day drama festival will commence at the UAF on Friday (December 12). Four theatre groups including Azad Theatre, Ajoka Theatre, Sangat Theatre and the UAF’s Mass Theatre and Art Club will participate in the festival. Five plays will be staged at the university’s Iqbal Auditorium at 7pm for the festival’s duration. These include Akhiyan, Bullah, Heer, Guddo and Khota Sikka. The office of the senior tutor has made elaborate arrangements for the benefit of drama enthusiasts expected to attend the event.
