Announces construction of Salarzai Degree College, upgradation of FC school

KHAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Governor Sardar Mehtab Abbasi said the ongoing military operation will eliminate militancy from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) and establish the writ of the state at all costs.

He was addressing jirgas in Pashat and Khar during his one-day visit to Bajaur Agency. The governor hailed the sacrifices of tribesmen in the line of national interests and said Zarb-e-Azb will consolidate efforts of peacekeeping in Fata and Frontier Regions (FR) and Bajaur will soon become the gateway of trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Mehtab stressed the need for restructuring of Fata administrative system and said the government has formed the reforms commission for that purpose.

During the visit the governor also announced the construction of Salarzai-Pashat Road, Salarzai Degree College and also announced the upgradation of the FC school. Furthermore, he announced development funds for the agency worth Rs1 billion and Rs10 million for Bajaur’s 7,000 people with disabilities. He instructed the Bajaur political agent to issue cards that warrant special privileges to them.

He added the government wants cordial relations with the Ghani administration and said peace in the region is in the joint interests of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
