KRL coach Tariq Lutfi believes his team missed many scoring opportunities, which cost them the win. “We certainly missed many chances, and so did Army,” Lutfi told The Express Tribune. “It was a good match and despite the draw, I’m glad we at least have a respectable position in the league.
“We don’t have our top players in the team anymore and it shows, but we are trying our best to overcome that.”
Army extended their lead at the top, with 36 points after 18 matches, while KRL stand sixth with 21 points after 12 matches.
“Any team from Wapda, PAF, K-Electric or even KRL can catch up with Army,” Lutfi added. “We still have more matches left to play. The league has gotten tougher and it can be anyone’s trophy.”
Meanwhile in today’s fixture, PAF will play Wapda in Lahore.
