SUKKUR: Twenty-one people, including women and children, were injured in a road accident on the National Highway near Tando Goraho village within the limits of Patni police station on Saturday, around 10 kilometres from Sukkur. A Suzuki van carrying 21 passengers, including women and children, was travelling from Sanghar to Khairpur when a speeding trailer tried to overtake it and crashed into it. The police and Edhi workers rushed to the scene and shifted the injured persons to Civil Hospital, Sukkur. The police have arrested the trailer driver, Riaz Ahmed, and impounded the vehicle. A case has yet to be registered.
