Bahria town initiative: Sindh allocates 50 acres for university

KARACHI: The government of Sindh acting on the directives of former president Asif Zardari, allocated 50 acres in Latifabad, Hyderabad for the construction of the university that Malik Riaz has promised to build and dedicate to MQM chief Altaf Hussain. The message was delivered in a special meeting between Sindh CM Qaim Ali Shah and Governor Ishratul Ebad. The governor lauded the initiative of Bahria Town chairman Malik Riaz for building universities in Hyderababd and Karachi. Asif Zadari has issued directives that Sindh Assembly in its Monday session pass charter of the said universities. Malik Riaz in his recent visit to the MQM headquarters 90 had announced that he will set up universities in Karachi and Hyderababd to be named after MQM chief Altaf Hussain. Around 20% students will get free education in these institutions, while fees of other students will be less than that charged by private universities.
