Development: Construction of Kasur Bypass begins

Project includes construction of 9.5-kilometre two-lane dual carriageway linking Ferozepur Road to Dipalpur Road

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has started construction of Kasur Bypass. The Rs1.5 billion project will be completed in four months, the LDA said in a statement. The project includes the construction of a 9.5-kilometre two-lane dual carriageway linking Ferozepur Road to Dipalpur Road in Kasur. The central median of the road will be 10-foot-wide accommodating modern arboriculture and streetlights. Roundabouts along the road will help self-regulate traffic.


New recruits

The LDA has appointed eight new assistant directors (Town Planning). Saqlain Akbar, Mashhood Arif, Ammar Yasir, Zohaib Anwar, Usman Bashir, Ahmad Adeel and Aqsa Jabeen have been selected on open merit. Iqra Ismail has been recruited against a seat reserved for women.
