PESHAWAR: Municipal employees in Peshawar chanted ‘go Imran go’ and ‘go Khattak go’ in front of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Thursday during a protest demanding increase in pay, Express News reported.

The protesters, who blocked the area causing a major traffic jam, claimed they haven’t been promoted in years and that their pays were not increased.

Police have reached the scene to control the situation and negotiate with the protesters.

It was reported that DCO Saeedul Islam and SSC Operations Najeebullah reached the scene to try and work out a solution for the problem.

However, up till now, no progress has been made as yet.

Go Imran Go really does not make sense to me. Firstly Imran is not the CM in KPK, he is the leader of the party. These people say they have not been promoted in 10 years. Wake and smell the coffee with all the fiscal problems the country is having you are lucky you have a job. Raises come when the economy is doing well.

Excuse me? Better terminate them? The only people that must be terminated is the PTI govt in KPK. And how dare you call Peshawar "one of the world's dirtiest cities"? It's in this state because you PTI trolls have done nothing to save it. If you think that any non-Punjabi city is filthy, then just remember that Punjab only accounts for the "P" in Pakistan and that Jinnah was no Punjabi. Please tell me what Punjab produced? Balochistan, KPK, and Sindh already generate more than their quota of electricity and gas. Punjab only produces more wheat and then won't share with the rest of the country. So before you start calling another city filthy, remember what your own province makes and then judge.
