Qadri made this statement as he prepared for his departure from Lahore to the United States this morning. He cited ill health as the reason for his departure.
"I will continue to fulfill my commitment until my last breath," said the PAT chief, dismissing widespread rumours that he might not return.
Stressing that he is determined to change the corrupt system, Qadri said he will not accept the joint investigation team - formed to probe the Model Town incident - until and unless Punjab Police was made part of the investigation.
The party leader was due to board his flight at 9:35am, however, the flight was delayed for reasons not known.

@Anonymous: 'May Allah grant health and wellness to Dr. Qadri shb so he would LEAD Pakistan in future.'
Allah would help equally well if you had put your prayer in for Qadri to SERVE Pakistan in future....
Well, Allama is no different than the rest of the political leaders we are unfortunately blessed with… Where Allama is different is the drama/theatre he generates – makes him a target for bigger ridicule/contempt from people who are not his followers. He probably is genuinely ill but why does his minders have to let TV Cameras in to show him looking frail and unwell while preparing to leave for the US.
Who is paying for T Q treatment? He is a Canadian citizen, which has an excellent nhs. US will treat him like any private patient, very expensive system. I suppose when it comes to leaders money is no objective.
Nothing changes in Pakistan all ,leaders run to west for treatment,. That is the extent of their commitment.i am sure there are some damn good doctors in Lahore. I recently quite a few in Lahore I consuted a friend of mine about certain matter. I was impressed with depth of his knowledge. At the same time old Mayo Hospital is delapited once meticulously clean wards are run down littered. Patients are herded like animals. In nurses home I was told there are 6 girls to a room. If so called leaders go to same facilities things will improve T Q go to local hospital get treatment then see what average person goes through.
Many speeches how they plan to liberate Pakistan, gone to the USA - the country that is responsible for majority of issues.
Mr Qadri happen to go and get handouts from US just like Nawaz group, Imran will join you shortly. Could you not find any other country for treatment, or is it more a case of consultation with the CIA agents.
Stay in the US, you've sold enough rubbish to the Pakistani public, you may need to recoup your energy or may be recoup the bank account.
All the same - after power/money.
@lol: You are right that Qadri has taken money from the government. In my opinion Imran has also colluded with the government. There is no better person than Imran to keep control on young, en-employed generation. He is the most suitable person to control them but does not know how to use them.
Whats wrong with Canada - at least the health care is free. Good sign that this guy is rich - also a good sign that he's a hypocrite.
I think Imran Khan should also go abroad and let us live a normal and peaceful life.
Qadri is too old to bring revolution.
....and why could he not be treated in Pakistan ?
Dear Qadri sb, Get into well soon. Regards
Illness name. " out of dream" or out of steam?
He will not return back as he has seen what happened to his candidate in Bhakar who could only secure 13000 votes. Last elections he had 11000 votes so only 2000 votes for TUQ TUQ. After so much show he failed miserably. There is no problem with his health only election shock circuit made him leave the country for ever. He will never ever dream to stage another drama like this in future. Thanks God one evil gone.
Not ill health. He is leaving as the job assigned to him to torpedo the democracy has been accomplished with the successful visit of COAS Gen Sharif to America and meeting with Mr Kerry. Resulting in "For all intents and purposes ... the shaping of foreign policy and national security appears to have been surrendered by the PML-N, to the detriment of the democratic process."....back in the hands of the Army.
TUQ does not believe in the competency of local doctors and/ or the medical infrastructure.

For the critics: Dr Raheeq Abbasi tweeted a few days earlier that two state hospitals had refused to admit Dr Qadri after his return from Bhakkar to Lahore.
Secondly, it is not a matter of good doctors but rather the health system and patient outcomes. Do you expect to get better patient care in Pakistan or America? There is obviously changes required in Pakistani health care system to provide more safe health care to patients.
Thirdly, who and where we choose to get health care from when we do have ability to make that choice is entirely our choice. You may decide you feel more comfortable to get treatment from Dr X rather than Dr Y and that's completely up to you. It maybe that the Dr from USA knew him better and he felt more comfortable with that cardiologist treating him.
@Llewelyn:
The reason hes going abroad is because two governmental hospitals refused to admit him citing "security concerns"
Salam and May Allah save those with speculations and confusions from sipiritual illnesses as well and be more constructive about Pakistan. May Allah grant health and wellness to Dr. Qadri shb so he would lead Pakistan in future.
I'm now 100% sure that Qadri & PMLN reached an agreement, probably got money from the Govt to end agitation. Now Qadri talks about contesting elections, stopped his protests for the justice of model town victims. Qadri could've easily gotten justice for the poor PAT workers who were murdered by the Punjab police by staging massive protests & sit-ins in Lahore, in front of Punjab assembly or raiwand! But he has backtracked! Keep in mind everyone was in agreement of CM Shehbaz resignation but not on PM resignation, unfortunately Qadri made yet another deal with the corrupt system & now he is going to comeback when it is election time. shame that Qadri abandoned his workers. PAT supporters should join PTI for true struggle, Imran is the only leader left who does not compromise.
Personally impressed by his scholarly vision, in-depth analytical speeches & relentless struggle to dismantle the corruption ridden political system, nevertheless mysterious sudden swings of his mood reflected through his illogical decisions, make several of his supporters & admirers like me, dismayed. Going to USA for medical treatment is also one of them.
He also has shown a questionable knack of estranging his close allies, friends & companions like PTI & PML-Q. He may be remembered in history as someone with a great vision, but miserably faulty approach to achieve his goals.
Mr. Qadri we have good doctors in the Pakistan and I am sure they can treat your illness. Your'll give great speeches about Pakistan but personally yourll don't believe in it.
Please go and do not come back we dont need you, you better be in Canada.

Sir Qadri Saheb: Please do not return to Pakistan. Leave us alone..
A little surprised, an Awami leader wanting to bring change in Pakistan has to go to US to get medical treatment like the elites who he vows to fight against!
Are Pakistani hospitals not as good, your Highness? Or are we the common people the lesser beings? No matter what, it does show his true-self, and the elitism he claims to fight against! All hallow.
Not a supporter of PML-N at all, very much against PML-N in fact I am, but not a fan of Qadri either.
