ISLAMABAD:

Senior PTI leader Asad Umar challenged the government to get an international auditor to examine tax and asset details of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his party leader Imran Khan.

His challenge came in response to the allegations levelled by the government regarding non-payment of taxes by Imran Khan.

“Today, I offer you that an international firm be asked to audit tax details, assets and properties of Nawaz Sharif and his children, Imran Khan and his children, Ishaq Dar and his children, and of Asad Umar and his children,” he asserted.

He clarified that the information minister’s allegations about Imran not paying agriculture tax were factually incorrect. “Imran has paid Rs298,000, Rs504,000 and Rs318,000 as agriculture tax in the last three years,” said Umar.

Earlier, Information Minister Senator Pervaiz Rashid had asked Umer to explain his party chief’s foreign services which helped him generate a handsome income. He claimed that around 80 per cent legislators of PTI were tax-evaders.
