Creating controversy: Health services director takes charge

Dr Pervez Kamal Khan has taken charge of the health services department on the directives of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Establishment department, stated a handout issued on Tuesday.

An alleged breach of violation of the Health Services Rules 2008 was speculated by department officials over the appointment of Khan, who reportedly stood 17th on the
seniority list.

Amidst hue and cry, Dr Khan took over after the post had fallen vacant following Dr Abdul Waheed Shah Burki’s retirement on November 16.
