Hindus Targeted: Police nab suspect in two murders
Suspects had allegedly killed 45-year-old Heera Lal Malhi and 32-year-old Ashok Kumar Malhi during an armed robbery

Police claim to have arrested the killer of two Hindu brothers who were shot dead in Umerkot four months ago. Matiari SSP Amjad Shaikh and Tando Muhammad Khan SSP Naseem Ara Panhwar declared the arrest of one of the four suspects on Tuesday. The suspects had allegedly killed 45-year-old Heera Lal Malhi and 32-year-old Ashok Kumar Malhi during an armed robbery. Suspect Naveed Solangi confessed and revealed the identities of the other suspects as Punhal Machi, Ali Panhwar and Jumon Solangi. He was arrested from Matiari on Sunday. Shaikh said the four suspects had travelled from Hyderabad to Umerkot where a fifth suspect, Kookri Shah, provided details of the brothers’ movements.
