Wrong side of law: Policemen booked for beating citizen

Clifton SP Fida Hussain says all four policemen have been dismissed

KARACHI: Two policemen were suspended on Monday for failing to arrest the four police personnel who were booked in an FIR on the complaint of a citizen.  Four police personnel of Defence Police Station, ASI Sabir Hussain, head constable Kauser and two constables, were booked at the same police station by their senior officials for allegedly beating up a citizen. The complainant had claimed that the accused personnel had beaten him up and snatched Rs22,000 from him on Saturday night. Clifton SP Fida Hussain said that all four policemen have been dismissed, while he had also suspended a head muharrar and a duty officer for failing to arrest them.
