The remarks came during a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
According to sources, PM Nawaz said Imran’s party will have “to give up the dharna (sit-in) on the roads and come and sit across the negotiating table”.
“The container group’s plan C and plan D will also fail like A and B and die their own death,” the PM said during a discussion on the national political situation with his younger brother at their Jati Umra residence in Raiwind.
He claimed that some elements were hatching conspiracies against the elected government. But he said forces working on an anti- democracy and anti-constitution agenda have been exposed before the people, according to sources.
If PTI supporters are so concerned about the plight of the masses, they should raise these issues in parliament, the prime minister said.
During the meeting, issues relating to national politics, economy, PTI agitation and its impact, development schemes in Punjab and other matters of importance were discussed.
The Punjab chief minister said that the provincial government has eased the conditions for acquiring loans under the self-employment scheme and extended the last date for applications.
PM Nawaz lauding the Punjab government schemes said that provincial government should facilitate the masses with regard to a record cut in fuel prices.
According to a news channel, the premier and Punjab CM also decided to resume talks with PTI. Shahbaz Sharif said that agitations and sit-ins will have to end and the protesting parties will have to come to the negotiating table. “The country cannot bear any more agitation and confrontation,” he said.
Call of concern
“How can we resume talks in this aggressive environment?” asked Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Pervaiz Rashid soon after the PTI chairman threatened to shut down all major cities if the government does not resolve the issue of polls fraud.
“Dialogue could not be resumed until [PTI chairman] Khan sahib gives up his anti-state conspiracy,” said the information minister.
“If PTI’s top leadership is really sincere about restarting negotiations, then first they will have to sit down in parliament,” he added.
“Imran Khan has consumed all options he is looking for a safe exit now,” he told The Express Tribune. Before coming to ‘Plan C’, the PTI should have to tell the people that ‘Plan A and B’ have been completely failed, argued the minister.
“How can the government allow Imran to shut down businesses in the major cities as the PTI has already paralysed business activities in Pakistan?” questioned the information minister. We cannot dictate the courts hearing PTI’s petition seeking probe into election fraud, he explained.
Judicial commission
Interestingly, SAFRON Minister Abdul Qadir Baloch told the media that the government was considering writing to the Supreme Court about forming a judicial commission. As the proposed judicial commission probes the rigging charges, he voiced hope that the PTI would accept the judicial commission inquiry report and avoid humiliating the judiciary, he added.

@Cheema: The more Imran keeps crying and pushing to become PM illegally, the more I dislike him. Now he wants to celebrate Indian dismemberment of Pakistan with a general shutdown of the country! He wants to give laugh to Indians and Bangladeshis! He has really lost it. Imran Khan wants to blame all of Pakistan's problem on one elected government of 1 year but ignore 67 years of troubles by everyone else. Ro Imran Ro and leave us alone. If he tries to shut down things on my street, we'll ignore them.
@Sabir There is nothing severe about this challenge. No ONE CAN tell me to close my shop per say and I will fight back on any one trying to shut down my business period. No one can shut down Lahore and there is no need for Govt to take any thing seriously.
IK’s challenge is serious and severe. Do not take it easy. A solution is that as for the four seats in questions where rigging is highlighted by IK, make the holders of those seats resign and hold reelections. This won’t be against the Constitution and the SC would not be constrained to form a judicial commission for which there is no provision in the Constitution. Take a pro-active approach to meet the challenges, do not sit pretty. You should also not be so fearful of the “go Nawaz go” sloganeering but hold public rallies, at least, in large cities and show your popularity by making larger attendances than Khan Sb. Can you do it???
Every hit by the hammer pushes the "stubborn: nail downwards! Keep waiting. GO NAWAZ GO
If any one is interested in reading, please read "Sufaid Jazeera" by Naseem Hijazi. This is one of the two fiction/comedy he had written back in mid/late 50's. How much accurately he envisioned current state of Pakistan in the said book is simply AMAZING!!
Imran Khan's plan would have failed if there was NO substance to them.......sadly there IS much substance to them. Ignoring this fact will prove difficult for Nawaz.
@Don't Take It Easy: this is ducking the issue, open up these 4 constituencies in a transparent way and let's endeavour to move onto correcting the deficiencies in the electoral process so that the Nation can benefit for generations to come.
If the government and its so called 5 member kitchen cabinet had the slightest bit of grey matter and was not involved in elections rigging they could have called IK's bluff by opening the 4 constituencies on the very first day. That would have shown their commitment to rule of law and the nation would have been spared the current sad situation. Not having done so in itself proves their complicity. Even now they can salvage the situation by offering to engage in investigation instead of playing hard Ball and making us a laughing stock in the world. Mr. PM for a change step forward and do the right thing and if anyone from your cronies were involved remove them. Do not damage this forsaken country anymore.
After hearing this, I want say some thing very important and new about Imran khan which u have never been heard before. The truth is that and you must chant Ro Imran Ro..please repeat this ten times before sleeping, you will must have a good sleep.try it..
@stevenson: There is one agenda of IK: to get rid of the corrupt in Pakistan. How on earth one think IK is anti-state ?
@Kazmis: Bring some meat in your argument. Fazlu ddisrupted the cities yesterday.. If you have guts charge him in first..
Don't worry PM sahib. We have plans from ABCD till Z.
The question is that will you be able to survive that long?
@hsami: That's the point. PMLN very well knows why they don't want to open the ballots. IK and Lakhs of people are shouting out their lungs for recounting but the voice falls on deaf ears. Coz Nawaz has something to hide.
@Kazmis: Don't mix and add words from your mind. No one said to burn Pakistan. Have some courage to say the truth. PTI is not MQM.
And I hope same for you too.
the question is if the government isn't accused of rigging then why it didn't take serious steps on its own.even without negotiation they can prove themselves innocent.go and open the alleged constituencies without any further delay.
@Don't Take It Easy: Your comments are sincer, but I think Govt should not put itself in those activities as Imran Khan. The business is serious and Govt should arrest all those leaders who are calling to burn Pakistan. Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi once said, "The hands who can not lift sword can not life with grace and honour."
How date this miscreant taking to close down the cities! He should be thrown in jail just like he should have in the first place
@Azam khan I hope same for you and Imran.
Why is there no comments regarding the audit of 2013 elections ? They are beating about the bush. The nation has awaken and it's difficult to make them fool now. This badshahat of 2 families should stop now.
You wish, sir. After the inflated utility bills this year and general mismanagement everywhere, why do you wonder people are out in droves against you? “The country cannot bear any more agitation and confrontation”. Quite right! Why don't you go for a fresh mandate?
The Sharifs have not yet realised the Hgh Noon situation, time is running away from them. It would seem that, Imran Khan posture for civil disobedience has the backing of certain key elements of the Khakis?
Rex Minor
He said "Elected Gov". Haha
It is so frustrating, yet reassuring that the Govt is not saying anything about Imrans demands ever since he dropped the PM resignation condition. No talk of election or audit.. Just trash talk. Goes to show how horrified the government is of having elections 2013 revisited.
Azadi March, Freedom March, 30th Nov 2014 the long awaited day in Islamabad is here passed with great success the sea of humans the faithfuls the valeru the great Pakistanis were present, the powerful Pakistanis ladies illuminated the great gathering with will and force to seek justice, 4th Dec 2014 the Azadi march towards Lahore to victory inshaAllah, Go Zardari Go, Go Shabaz Go, Go Nawaz Go
PM Nawaz said Imran’s party will have “to give up the dharna (sit-in) on the roads and come and sit across the negotiating table”
Which negotiation table? Where is this negotiation table?
Dear PM, don't shy away from election audit.
The corrupt Sharif brothers are clueless of what is happening around them. Sooner than later they will realise that they have to run away from Pakistan to save their lives. They should remember the deaths of some Middle Eastern leaders.
I sincerely pray to Allah Almighty that you die a natural death. The sooner the better.
"According to a news channel, the premier and Punjab CM also decided to resume talks with PTI." Usually, two teams and their management engage umpires. Here we have a team brought in by Umpire and the Umpire's team is challenging the winner team. So the umpire has not given up and the matches continue in the hope of defeating the winner team.
Those who have imposed themselves in the name of democracy by buying out the elections will die a natural death.
The miscreants should be dealt with iron fist. Any disturbance in traffic flow and closing of businesses should are not accepted at any cost. Its not a coincidence that Imran Khan Niazi has selected December 16th for destruction of Pakistan.
Kings meet at their palace to discuss about the plights of poor public. O kings you keep in mind that you have open an inquiry into the electoral frauds.
Now I'm super-charged to join Imran! I want these corrupt mafias to get out of my country or at least face justice. Come December 16, Imran will be the only political figure I will obey to!
GO NAWAZ GO!!!!!!!
Imran Khan's real agenda of trying to destroy Pakistan has been revealed. He will stop at nothing to be PM and this is the reason why people are rejecting Imran Khan for the stubborn and power obsessed person he has become. I hope Imran Khan just lives in the container. Ro Imran Ro and let the rest of us keep seeing the government improve the country.
