Shabqadar police station targeted

No casualties have been reported

SHABQADAR: An unidentified militant lobbed a hand grenade at Shabqadar police station Sunday night and missed. 

Confirming the attack, a police official told The Express Tribune that at approximately 8:20pm, an unidentified motorcyclist lobbed a hand grenade, aiming at the police station gate. He missed, hitting an adjacent water drain instead.

In response, added the official, the police opened fire, but the attacker escaped from the site.

A search was initiated and continued till the filing of this report, however, as yet no arrests have been made.
