Member Punjab Assembly Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri said on Saturday that Chaudhry Ijaz, who has resigned from his National Assembly seat and joined the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), was a political turncoat.
In a press statement, Qadri said: “Ijaz has been in four political parties so far.
He claimed to have obtained a degree from an institution in South Philippines, which actually does not exist.
The Election Commission has disqualified him.
The Supreme Court will be hearing his case soon,” he said.
He said that PTI chairman Imran Khan had set a record for telling lies. “Imran Khan calls himself a man of principles. Why has he accepted in his party a man accused of having a fake degree?” said Qadri who is also a spokesman for the provincial government.
