Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf filed a petition in the Lahore High Court seeking on Wednesday directions for the Punjab government not to arrest party workers.
PTI Punjab president Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhary, the petitioner, said the provincial government was trying to stop a public gathering planned to held in Islamabad on November 30. He said many workers had been taken into custody and many others were being harassed. “Police are raiding houses of PTI workers,” he said. He said the arrests violated their fundamental rights.
