Important visit: Kerry expected early next year, says Aziz

Adviser to PM adds Pakistan-US strategic, economic relations are advancing towards betterment

US Secretary of State John Kerry is expected to visit Pakistan early next year, Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz said in an interview with the Voice of America (VOA). Pak-US strategic and economic relations, he said, were advancing towards betterment and the existing ties have been promoted further. To a question, Aziz said that Pakistan wanted good political, economic and security relations with Afghanistan. Responding to a question, he said that tension on the eastern border affected Operation Zarb-e-Azb. The success of the operation, he added, was in the interest of the international community.
