Strategising Next Move: Nurses weigh risks after new bill

SNAF delegation will approach the governor, chief minister, health minister, others regarding the recently passed bill

KARACHI: Sindh Nurses Action Forum (SNAF) called an emergency meeting to review the approval of the Sindh Nursing Council Bill 2014 by Sindh Assembly.

The meeting was presided over by Provincial Nurses Association Karachi division general secretary Abdul Wahid. After the meeting, SNAF announced that a meeting of Sindh's nursing leadership and private schools of nursing and nursing superintendents of hospitals will be held on November 24.

The provincial nursing leadership will announce their future plan of action in the media briefing to save the nursing profession in the province.

It was also decided that a SNAF delegation will approach the governor, the chief minister, the health minister and others regarding the recently passed Sindh Nursing Council Bill. Pakistan Nurses Federation central executive committee member Qayyum Marwat said a letter will be written to the chief justice.
