KARACHI: Pakistan has had historic relations with Czech Republic, said Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) President Zakaria Usman while welcoming the Ambassador of Czech Republic, Miroslav Krenek, who visited the federation house in Karachi on Wednesday. Usman said that Pakistan and Czech Republic enjoy good relations, but trade remains low, at approximately $50 million. “Trade is concentrated in traditional items such as textiles and leather, but we should also explore other areas like marble, granite, sports goods and surgical instruments,” he said. “In particular, there could be collaboration in gemstones and jewellery, because Czech Republic has expertise in high quality cutting and polishing.”
