
Pervaiz scored 22 goals – including one inflight shot, seven specialist shots, and three 6-metre penalty shots – while Muhammad Uzair Atif scored 12 goals to take Pakistan’s goal tally to 43. The team will now play against Bahrain today.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s national volleyball champions Mubashir Raza and Muhammad Razzaq won their second group match, defeating Maldives’ Abdul Hameed Adnan and Mohamed Nihad 21-14, 21-10 in their fourth fixture of Pool F. The duo will be up against Bonono and Yabanez of the Philippines in their next match.
Pakistan’s -80 kg men’s kabaddi team, who won silver medal at the Games’ last edition, will play their first group match against Afghanistan today.
