PML-N MPA's education certificate declared fake

The University of Cambridge on Saturday declared the Advanced levels certificate of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Khawaja Islam as fake.

MPA Khawaja Islam is the president of PML-N Faisalabad region. He was elected MPA from constituency PP-72 in the 2008 general elections.

The university authorities said that the A-level certificate of the MPA shows that it was granted to him in 1975 while the university had not initiated the programme at that time.

Earlier, Khawaja Islam's intermediate certificate was also found fake.

Hafiz shah Ali | 14 years ago | Reply This is serious matter. It is not only about fake degrees but also the moral of the members sitting in parliament who submitted fake degrees under solemn affirmation. In any other respectable country of the world, these members would not only have been disqualified but put behind the bar. Oh! did our President not claim that he had a degree from London School of Economics which latter on proved to be in-correct? Life goes on......... when will we as nation grow up and become serious and punish those who make false statements by not voting for them
Good citizen | 14 years ago | Reply Both Parties are equally corrupt and bankrupt ethically. Election commission must be in charge and People must elect people on non-party basis. Only those people who are best in character ( TAQWA) among them are the best guardians of their wealth and resources. All others are Thieves in different forms and shapes. If People want good governance then elect people who are best among them in Character( Taqwa). Isn't it also the message of the Prophet himself andthe Holy book that best amongst you are those are best in Taqwa? Then whywe foolishly elect those who have fake degrees, who take commissions of foreign deals, Bribes and bribed?
