Educational Reforms: Monitoring cells to be set up

HYDERABAD: Education cells will be established to monitor the performance of schools and the implementation of educational reforms, announced division commissioner Syed Asif Haider Shah at a meeting on Friday.

The divisional level calls will be set up at the commissioner's office, while the district level cells will be set up by the deputy commissioners of all districts in the division so that educational grants from the provincial government and international donors could be used to improve the quality of education in a transparent manner, he added.

WB representative Javed Shaikh, who also attended the meeting, said that the Sindh government had allocated Rs2,200 million while the WB had loaned Rs400 million for the reform support units.
