Disqualified: PML-N minority MPA loses seat

Commission disqualifies Kumar after reference filed against him regarding his absence from Assembly proceedings

QUETTA: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has cancelled the membership of PML-N minority member of Balochistan Assembly Santosh Kumar. His party’s chief in Balochistan Sardar Sanaullah Zehri had issued showcase notices to Kumar for not attending the assembly proceedings. Upon receiving no positive response, the party filed a reference in the election tribunal. “The commission has disqualified Santosh Kumar after a reference was filed against him regarding his absentee from Balochistan Assembly proceedings,” Election Commissioner Balochistan Sultan Bayazeed told The Express Tribune.
