SSP Junejo case: ATC declares Imran, Qadri absconders
Hearing a case pertaining to an attack on SSP Asmatullah Junejo during the PTI and PAT protests, Judge Kauser Abbas Zaidi declared Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri as wanted persons, while ordering for the immediate arrest of the two party leaders.
Junejo was attacked and beaten with batons by protesters during the Islamabad protests when they were at their peak. He sustained serious injuries. Subsequently, a case was registered against PAT and PTI workers under ATC clauses.
Earlier on Wednesday, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) had issued non-bailable arrest warrants against Imran, PTI vice-chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Qadri and others for attacking the Pakistan Television (PTV) building and Parliament House in August.
ATC Judge Syed Kausar Abbas Zaidi issued the warrants in response to two separate First Information Reports (FIRs) registered by the Secretariat police against Imran Khan, Tahirul Qadri, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Awami Muslim League leader Sheikh Rashid Ahmad, Saifullah Niazi, Dr Raheeq Abbasi, Asad Umar and others.
The attacks took place on August 31 when PAT and PTI workers marched towards the Prime Minister House and the police were ordered to thwart their march. Subsequent clashes between the protesters and law enforcers resulted in the deaths of three PAT workers. Hundreds others, including both demonstrators and policemen, were wounded.

@Bewildered: Your Q&A has the answer to so-called Model Town incident. Why Qadri & cousin Imran are accusing the Chief Minister? Despite various probes by Joint Investigation Teams (JITs), there is no evidence to suggest that the Chief Minister had ordered the policemen to fire the shots. Yet the lunatic Qadri and his mad cousin Imran have been accusing the Chief Minister. On the other hand, both Qadri & Imran while standing on comfy containers ordered their goons to "kill or get killed". Shame on the trolls trying to support illegal acts!

Attacking public institutions and public property is kosher as long as the attackers are IK supporters. It is also not a crime to beat the police and govt officials lifeless provided the attackers are PTI members and Qadri supporters. When the constitution provided immunity to the elected president they were all crying hoarse about Islamic equality and there should not be any immunity. Now these acts of blatant disregard of law and order is all fine and they have the immunity.
No arrest warrants against the Sharif Murderers of Model Town Lahore and Islamabad. Let's salute the very sharif judiciary.

The attack on the PTV building was by no means 'terrorism'. Nawaz Sharif true to his nature and his political history is making trouble both for himself and for the country.

@Frank: What Nawaz Sharif has to do in this matter. Those who commit crime must do the time. Attacking police officer on duty is a crime which no civilized society can tolerate. If Imran and Qadri had committed similar crimes in any their beloved Western Countries, their remaining years of life would have been spent in jail.
This ruling should be implemented as it is absolutely essential that people know that NO ONE is allowed to challenge state institutes. In countries IK refers to, people are arrested just for using bad language against police. PTI itself lead a campaign against ' MQM hate speeches' a few months ago and started doing the same itself. What a shame. If we allow PTI and PAT to do that, we should also allow Taliban. Essentially they do the same i.e. enticing, brain washing, radicalising and provoking the youth against the state.
The meaning of Absconder is A fugitive who runs away and hides to avoid arrest or prosecution.
Oh I see, so IK is hiding on top of his container where he openly has said that come and arrest him. Hahha. What a joke this government is making out of the courts and other respectable institutions.

Pakistani courts are plagued with Selective Justice syndrome. What about the killing of more than 10 in Lahore?. Why our incumbent courts has not declared Shahbaz Sharif as absconder yet?. Our courts dance on the government tunes as well. PMLN members attacked supreme court in the past and could somebody tell me how many years Nawaz Sharif spent behind bars for that act?.
