Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is currently filming Bajrangi Bhaijaan opposite Salman Khan, has given the nod to filmmaker Anand L Rai for his next film, a woman-centric comedy, reported bollywood.com. Although known to be picky about the films she stars in, Kareena found the subject of Rai’s movie to be interesting and immediately said ‘yes’ to it.
She found the film’s subject interesting and immediately said ‘yes’ for the film. “Kareena is the hero of the film. The film doesn’t have a serious subject. It’s a woman-oriented, light-hearted comedy with an intriguing storyline,” said a source. “It will also star several other supporting actors, which is something that’s always seen in Anand’s films,” the source added.
The film, which revolves around a girl from the city, will reportedly be shot in Lucknow. About Kareena’s film choices, the source shared, “She has been getting many offers over the last few months. There have been several reports of films that she has supposedly signed, rejected or those that have been stalled.”
The source further said, “She has been in no hurry to take up projects as she is content with what she has on her plate right now.” Both Kareena and Anand remained unavailable for comment. The film is slated to hit the floors in January 2015.
