Australia will provide technical assistance to the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) for the promotion of technical education and vocational training system across the province of Punjab. Tevta Chairman Irfan Qaiser, while addressing the officers here at the secretariat, said that Australian High Commissioner Peter Heyward, in a meeting at the embassy office, pledged to support technical assistance to Tevta. Qaiser, COO Jawad Ahmed Qureshi and other officers were present at the meeting. Qaiser said Australia would collaborate to enhance technical skills and upgrade the standard of curricula to meet the challenges of local and international markets. He added that foreign collaboration will also be fruitful to offer latest technical training infrastructure in the organisation’s institutes to get desired results.
