MUZAFFRABAD: AJK President Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan on Monday called for playing national anthems of both Pakistan and AJK at educational institutes and official functions to promote national integration. He was addressing the death anniversary of the founder of Pakistan Army’s AJK Regiment, Col Hidayat Khan, at Baloch. “Playing both national anthems at official functions and at schools and colleges would help promote patriotism and love for the country,” he said. Talking about the situation across the LoC, he said state assembly elections in Indian Kashmir have no importance as India has put leaders of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference behind bars in Srinagar. “New Delhi has given a licence to suppress the freedom movement in Kashmir in the form of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act,” he added.
