Rivalry in AJK: Case registered against minister’s son
The police have registered a case against the minister’s son Adeel Ali Shan Soni and brother Iqbal
MUZAFFRABAD:
AJK Minister for Revenue, Custodian and Stamps Chaudhry Ali Shan Soni’s brother Chaudhry Mazhar Iqbal on Sunday shot and injured a rival political worker at Samahni in Bhimber district. Police say Iqbal opened fire on Muslim Conference (MC) worker Raja Suhaib Habib in the main market of Choki Samahni and fled in an official vehicle. Habib is in critical condition at Mirpur DHQ Hospital. MC activists protested in front of the hospital and blocked the road. They chanted slogans against Soni and his brother. The police have registered a case against the minister’s son Adeel Ali Shan Soni and brother Iqbal. AC Samhani Chaudhry Haq Nawaz said the attackers would be arrested soon.
