Textile: Summit for sector’s promotion

ISLAMABAD:

The two-day Pakistan Textile Summit 2014 is scheduled to start on November 26 in Lahore, which would see representatives of the industry from across the globe.

The summit will see keynote speeches and presentations from senior level officials from the government, relevant associations and representatives from local and international textile companies.

Joint Secretary of Textile Training at the Ministry of Textile Neelofar Hafeez said the objectives of the summit are to promote the country’s industry, showcasing research and development in the sector.

The summit is aimed at exploring latest innovations in machinery and technology, providing a networking opportunity for local and international textile industry professionals. This would, in turn, give Pakistan a first-hand look at what the market wants.

“We feel that the industry is full of professionals who are passionate and this summit will be a platform for them to come together and learn,” said Hafeez.
