Inflation: Index falls 0.73% week-on-week

            The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ended November 6 registered a decrease of 0.73% over the previous week for the lowest income group. The SPI for the group stood at 207.19 points against 207.28 in the previous week, according to provisional figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The SPI for the combined income group also decreased 0.39% from 214.90 points in the previous week to 213.30 in the week under review. Compared to the corresponding week of last year, the SPI for the combined income group rose 0.39%. During the week, average prices of 14 items in a selected basket of goods fell, prices of nine items rose and rates of remaining 30 recorded no change.
