Developing education: Rs149m to be spent on Multan schools

The government released Rs149 million on Thursday

MULTAN: The government released Rs149 million on Thursday to provide missing facilities for schools in Multan district. Education EDO Shamsher Ahmad Khan said that the department would complete 227 schemes to provide missing facilities during the current fiscal year at a cost of Rs 298 million. “We are already working on 60 more schemes. We have 39 schemes for providing electricity to schools, 123 schemes to build boundary walls, 56 schemes to build toilet blocks, 31 to build additional class rooms and 41 schemes to rebuild dilapidated and dangerous school buildings. They will be completed before July 2015,” he said.
