In The Line Of Duty: Journalist shot dead

SUKKUR: A Gambat-based journalist, affiliated with a private TV channel, was shot dead by unidentified assailants near Adh Kassi, situated in the jurisdiction of Gambat police station, on Wednesday. Mohammad Jiwan Arain, accompanied by a friend, Sachal Rind, was on the way to work in Gambat from village Khabri. When they reached near Adh Kassi, two motorcyclists intercepted them and opened fire. Arain was killed on the spot. Gambat police shifted the body to the taluka hospital for postmortem, after which it was handed over to the family.
