Reason To Celebrate: Commuters to pay 10% less fares

HARIPUR: Commuters in Haripur were provided some relief when local transporters announced a 10% reduction in fares with effect from Thursday (today). In an announcement on Wednesday, transporters said the reduced fares would apply to passengers traveling locally or on intercity routes. Following the recent cut in fuel prices by the federal government, a meeting of transporters’ associations was held to review the fares. The Bus Owners Association, Wagon Owners Association and representatives of other transport bodies attended the meeting chaired by Haripur Wagon Owners Association President Malik Muhammad Younas.
