Heinous crime: Two gang raped in Faisalabad

The SHO said the women had reported that five men had raped them at the dera.

FAISALABAD: Police said on Sunday that five men had assaulted two women in Chak Jhumra. Speaking to The Express Tribune, Chak Jhumra station house officer said Ghulam Murtaza and Muhammad Khan had brought the women to Faisalabad to meet a suitor.  He said they had taken them to a dera in Chak 25-JB instead and they and their accomplices had raped them there.

The SHO said the women had reported that five men had raped them at the dera. They said the men had beaten them when they resisted and threatened them with dire consequences. The victims said they had abandoned them and fled the following morning.

The SHO said a case had been registered against the men on the complaint of the women and a team had been constituted to nab them.

He said further action would be taken them on the receipt of a medico-legal report.
