MULTAN:

“Gullu Butt will be released from prison as a responsible citizen,” Inspector General (Prisons) Mian Farooq Nazeer said on Saturday.

He was talking to newsmen in Multan. The IG said Butt would attend reform sessions in prison and would be encouraged to become a responsible.

He said the experience in prison would be life-changing.

Nazeer said the society was quick to condemn a criminal and tended to be unforgiving.

He said prisoners who had a good influence on other inmates should be appreciated.

He said Butt would be trained in repair of electric motors used in water pumps.

Nazeer said he was confident that after finishing his time in prison, Butt would never be found rioting.

Whether the jail will reform him or he will reform the jail is a difficult question. However, the public want him to be in jail for the full term.
