Waste management: FWMC and LWMC sign agreement

FWMC has signed a one-year agreement with LWMC for capacity building.

Faisalabad Waste Management Company (FWMC) has signed a one-year agreement with Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) for capacity building.


The agreement was signed at Shaheen Complex at a ceremony.

Addressing the event, FWMC managing director Amjad Ali Awan said the LWMC would help the FWMC improve the performance standards.

He said the agreement would enable the FWMC and the LWMC have better understanding of challenges of urban waste management.

He said the LWMC would share expertise in cleaning operations and transportation and disposal of solid waste.

“Together, we will upgrade the waste management system in Faisalabad,” he said.

LWMC Managing Director Khalid Majeed said his organisation would conduct training seminars for capacity building at other waste management companies of the province.
