Battle for glory: Football tournament concludes

LANDIKOTAL: Hamza-11 emerged victorious in Friday’s final of the month-long football tournament organised by Khyber Sports Club (KSC) at Landikotal High School’s football ground. Around 37 teams from across Khyber Agency participated in the tournament that is being organised in the area since 1982. People turned up in large numbers to cheer for their teams as Hamza-11 and Real Madrid battled for glory. The former won the game 4-3. One of the organisers, Wakeel Shinwari said the success of the tournament proves the people’s love for sports. “We do not harbour militancy; we love recreation and have provided the best players to the country,” said another organiser, Muhammad Alam Shinwari.
