Corruption charges: BISE DI Khan controller arrested

The accused was said to have acted in connivance with others.

PESHAWAR: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Friday arrested Lal Baz, Controller Board of Intermediate Education (BISE) DI Khan, for his alleged involvement in embezzling more than Rs15 million. Many complaints were reportedly received by NAB regarding corrupt practices in BISE DI Khan, after which NAB K-P director general authorised an enquiry into the matter, stated a handout. The enquiry revealed large amount of funds under the ‘secrecy head’ were embezzled while procurements were made on exorbitant rates along with wasteful expenditure. The accused was said to have acted in connivance with others.
