LAHORE: The National Collage of Arts deferred an admission test for evening classes after students staged a protest demonstration on Thursday. Around 150 students blocked a lane on The Mall in front of the college’s main gate. Traffic remained suspended for more than an hour. The protesters said that evening classes should not be started in the college. They said there was already a shortage of basic facilities, like studios and equipment. They called off the protest after the NCA administration postponed the admission test. Rao Dilshad, an NCA administration official, said: “Evening classes will not in any way affect students in the morning shift. The college faces some financial constraints. It can generate revenue by launching evening classes,” he said.

@NCA Student: All the funds mentioned above will b charged by the college only if the so called honest students of nca pay their dues. What ever the principal is doing is right n no student has a right to disrespect his decision until they themselves follow the easy system rather than talking abt ordanance
so all, the student guild fund, stationary fund, medical fund, sports fund, etc are still being collected by the college admin and they say they are lacking funds? the admin really needs to come up with a proper explanation. is a program II the only way to gather funds? it will create more corruption chances for the above mentioned Mr.Rao Dilshad and others in his company, and also create a class disparity on monetary terms. The principal should appoint the board of governors first, and then do all the talking.
it is not an evening shift. Evening shift means that classes will start at 3 or so, which is not the case. NCA is actually introducing program 2 which will start at 10am along with the rest of the existing students plus the coming program1 students. there will be a rush of students from 2015
