KARACHI: Pakistani heartthrob Ali Zafar and cast members from the upcoming Bollywood movie Kill Dil appeared on the most watched TV show in India, Kaun Banega Crorepati, last night.

Even though Ali was accompanied by his fellow actors Parineeti Chopra, Ranveer Singh and veteran Govinda, the crowd went wild as soon as Ali entered the set.

Ali and the rest of the cast even shook a leg with the host, the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, on one of the songs from the soundtrack of their upcoming film.

During the show, Ali expressed his admiration for Bachchan and how he's been a huge fan ever since he was a child.

Zafar even shared a sketch he had made of the Bollywood legend when he was 12 years old. On seeing the sketch, which his mother had kept safe and sent especially for the show, Bachchan got emotional and thanked Ali for it.

At that moment, Bachchan asked Ali to recreate the sketch live on the show and the result was a masterpiece nonetheless. The crowd and Bachchan were amazed at Zafar's talent and a round of applause soon followed.

Another dream came true for Ali as he sang live for Bachchan. Not only did this make Bachchan emotional, but it was special moment for Ali who said, "I have no words for the respect and warmth I received from the crowd and especially Mr Bachchan. I have grown up watching his films, singing songs of his films and used to sketch him when I was a child. I have been his fan all my life but after seeing his energy and radiant personality, I have become his greatest fan."

With only five films across the border, Ali has not only managed to earn fans among Indian audiences but also in the film fraternity.

A Yash Raj Films production, Kill Dil is directed by Shaad Ali and is slated for release on November 14. Music for the film has been composed by Shankar-Ehsan-Loy and the lyrics have been penned by Gulzar.
