Curbing commercial activities: CDA raids several houses in F-7

CDA spokesperson says houses would be sealed if owners continue to carry out illegal operations

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Tuesday carried out another operation against the misuse of residential units in Sector F-7. During the operation, special teams raided House 20 where a restaurant was operating and confiscated signboards and furniture from the premises. Similarly, signboards of various commercial entities were also removed from several other houses in F-7/4. The premises were being used as boutiques and salons. Commercial activities in residential units are not allowed under CDA land use rules. The CDA spokesperson said the houses would be sealed if owners continue to carry out the illegal operations. The authority’s chairman has vowed to continue the operation till commercial activities in residential areas are completely halted.
