Medical conference: CMC, SBBMU symposium on December 23
The seventh annual symposium of Chandka Medical College (CMC) and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SBBMU) is scheduled to be held on December 23, with the participation of scholars and members of the medical fraternity.
In a meeting held at the SBBMU syndicate hall on Monday under CMC principal Prof Saifullah Jamro, the chairpersons of various committees presented their reports on progress in the symposium preparations so far.
Prof Jamro said that the six previous symposiums had been up to international standards and he hoped that the upcoming event would also reach the same level. He added that the latest research for the betterment of poor patients would be presented at the symposium. He further said that CMC vice chancellor Ghulam Asghar Channa had contacted famous professors and senior doctors to request them to take part in the event and present their research.
