The United States Education Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) has invited applications for its Community College Initiative Programme. The programme supports Pakistani young professionals at accredited US community colleges for one year of non-degree studies. The applications are invited in the fields of applied engineering, business management and administration, media, tourism and hospitality management, public safety (rescue and disaster management) and early childhood education, said a press release. Pakistanis who are currently employed in one of these fields and hold a bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply. English language proficiency, potential to have a positive impact on Pakistan’s future development and demonstrated leadership skills are some of the prerequisites for the programme. Participants will spend one academic year in the United States and earn certificates in their fields of study. November 26 is the last date to apply for the programme.
