His membership was suspended after Election Commission of Pakistan disqualified him for providing incorrect information in his nomination papers and possessing a fake degree.
Bukhari was elected to NA-153 constituency of Multan.
The MNA, who is known for switching political loyalties, had won last year’s polls against his arch rival Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, who had contested on Pakistan Peoples Party’s ticket. Noon later filed an application against Bukhari.
A heavyweight in the constituency, Bukhari had won the seat for two consecutive terms in 2008 on Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) ticket, and in 2013 on PML-N’s ticket.

It would have been nice if ET had told us why SC reinstated him.
These are the rewards of PMLN's democracy. A person who purged the papers and was disqualified for being a dishonest person, is now back in business.Do we really need this democracy? The govt should announce elections soon. This false notion of democracy is contrary to the welfare of the people and state.
Membership restored even after he filled fake degree, do we ever disqualify anyone based on false and wrong provided information? Shame on Supreme Court!
It does not add to the credibility of a suspect Judiciary.
I guess these are the perks of offering loyalty to PML N, rest assured the courts are in your pocket. You become invincible, capable of superpowers that only rest with the most elite class of Pakistan.
He could be doing something good to the prople, maybe that is why they voted for him even after changing his party. We wish him best of performance in the future.
A PTI supporter.
