Elections held: YDA elects office-bearers for new term

LAHORE: The Young Doctors’ Association (YDA) elected new office-bearers on Saturday for 2014 to 2016. They were elected in a meeting of the association’s general council. Muhammad Ajmal of the Lahore General Hospital was elected president and Tajammul Butt of Mayo Hospital general secretary. Umar Saeed from Rawalpindi was elected as the association’s chairman. It was also decided in the meeting to support the doctors who had been dismissed from the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Research Hospital. Those present decided to hold a press conference soon to announce the association’s strategy regarding this.
