Iran announces new sites for uranium enrichment

TEHRAN: Iran announced on Tuesday the approval of new sites for its uranium enrichment plants amid increasing western criticism.

According to an Iranian news agency work will start on the sites as the soon as President Ahmadinejad gives a go-ahead.


The plan was announced in November last year after Iran faced widespread critcism for constructing the second such facility. Currently uranium enrichment plants are operating in the central city of Natanz.
